ABC Holds Eighth Annual HerbDay

AUSTIN, Tex.The American Botanical Council (ABC) will host the 8th Annual HerbDay, featuring tours, presentations and activities on Saturday, May 4 in Austin, TX. The 2013 HerbDay event will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at ABC headquarters, the historic Case Mill Homestead.

Herbal experts Ellen Zimmermann, founder and director of the Austin School of Herbal Studies, and ABC founder and executive director Mark Blumenthal will speak on herbs for everyday use and the status on herbal research in America. Nicole Telkes, founder and director of the Wildflower School of Botanical Medicine, and Carlos Hernandez, Bio-Star Botanicals owner, will lead the herb walks, which will last 45 minutes.

HerbDay participants will have access to the ABC medicinal and herb gardens, enjoy children's activities and refreshments.
