ABC Publishes 'Herbal News and Events' Newsletter

AUSTIN, TexasThe nonprofit American Botanical Council (ABC) announced the publication of a new e-newsletter, Herbal News and Events. The weekly email combines educational event notices with relevant news articles from the media, while providing convenient access to other ABC educational content.

The timing of this new publication occurs as ABC has seen an increase in the number of conferences and seminars that relate to the herbal, natural products and natural medicine communities. ABC believes keeping its wide array of stakeholders and other interested persons informed is an integral part of its nonprofit educational mission. With more than 25,000 registered users in the ABC database, Herbal News & Events provides an excellent medium to reach a large audience.

Inside each edition of Herbal News & Events, readers will find a list of upcoming conferences and events, with a special section devoted to presentations by ABC founder and executive director Mark Blumenthal. The newsletter will also provide access to free educational articles and reviews from some of ABCs other publications, like the peer-reviewed quarterly journal HerbalGram; HerbClip^TM, which contains summaries and critical reviews of seminal articles covering medicinal plant-related research, regulation, marketing and responsible usage; and HerbalEGram, a monthly e-newsletter for ABC members featuring news stories on the month's herbal developments and press releases from diverse community and industry herbal organizations. In addition, ABC members will have access to an exclusive media watch section, featuring the latest headlines in herbal medicine and related news from around the world. ABC also recently published The ABC Clinical Guide to Herbs on its website containing information and clinical study details on 30 commonly used herbs.
