AHPA Elects 2012 Board of Trustees

SILVER SPRING, Md.The American Herbal Products Association (AHPA) welcomed four members to the association's board of trustees. The board members were elected at the association's annual member meeting, held March 8 in Anaheim,CA, in conjunction with Natural Products Expo West. 

The four new members joining the board are: 

  • Marc Allen, CEO, Herb Pharm, Williams, OR

  • Richard Enticott, president and CEO, Martin Bauer Group, Secaucus, NJ

  • Lisa Spicka, general manager, Trout Lake Farms, Trout Lake, WA

  • David Morrison, vice president, scientific and regulatory affairs, Vitamin Shoppe, North Bergen, NJ  

Returning board members for the coming year include:

  • Kay Wright, The Hain Celestial Group, Boulder, CO

  • Beth Lambert, Herbalist & Alchemist, Washington, NJ

  • Michael Lelah, NOW Foods, Bloomingdale, IL

  • Staci Eisner, PlusPharma, Carlsbad, CA

  • Katie Huggins, Traditional Medicinals, Sebastopol, CA

  • Mitch Coven, Vitality Works, Albuquerque, NM  

As the elected representatives of the members of AHPA, the board guides the association on matters of policy and direction, takes proactive action on behalf of industry, and ensures the continued viability of the organization.

Additionally, the following AHPA members were reelected to the organization's executive committee:  

  • Chair: Katie Huggins, Traditional Medicinals

  • Vice chair: Garry Pay, Ideasphere/ISI Brands

  • Secretary: Wilson Lau, nuherbs Company

  • Treasurer: Mitch Coven, Vitality Works

  • Daniel Gagnon, Herbs Etc.

  • Richard Kaufman, Paragon Laboratories

  • Beth Lambert, Herbalist & Alchemist

This month, AHPA released the winners of its seventh annual AHPA Awards to recognize individuals and companies making substantive, positive contributions to the herbal products industry.
