BI Offers Facility Tours

LONG BEACH, Calif.BI Nutraceuticals will be conducting tours of its state-of-the-art, 150,000--sq.-ft. manufacturing facility located in Long Beach on March 10, 2011, the day prior to the start of Expo West in Anaheim, CA.  BI is welcoming anyone interested in learning more about the company's technologies in botanical ingredient identification, quality assurance (QA), dry steam sterilization and processing.

Both a morning and afternoon tour are scheduled, and BI Nutraceuticals has arranged for complimentary transportation to its facility. The morning tour has a pick-up/drop-off time of 9:30 a.m./12 p.m., and the afternoon tour has a pick-up/drop-off time of 1:30 p.m./4 p.m. from the Sheraton Hotel Lobby across from the Expo Center.

The facility tour will include a short overview of BI's capabilities, a tour of the company's receiving and production areas, dry steam sterilization process Protexx HP and QA lab. Hors'd oeurves will also be served.  RSVP to Angela Dorsey-Kockler at [email protected].

BI Nutraceuticals is a global full-service supplier of dietary supplement and functional food ingredients including whole-herb powders and teas, standardized and drug ratio extracts, custom blends, vitamins, minerals, drum to hopper custom blends, granular ingredients and other specialty processes including time released and encapsulated ingredients. The company has also developed a proprietary process, UltraHD®, which creates high-density herbal powders allowing for superior flow and less dusting during the manufacturing process.
