GREEN BAY, Wis.EuroPharma Inc.® joined the American Botanical Councils (ABC) Adopt-an-Herb program with the adoption of Turmeric (Curcuma longa), an herb used in many traditional medicinal systems. EuroPharmas support ensures the latest published scientific and clinical research on turmeric and its key beneficial compound, curcumin, will be available on ABCs HerbMedPro database.

We are pleased to be able to support this program and hope that by doing so, we can continue to elevate the science behind one of the most potent herbs on the planet," said Terry Lemerond, president and founder of EuroPharma Inc., makers of the Terry Naturally brand of dietary supplements. "Curcumin shows enormous promise and has the potential to help millions of people. Our goal is to shine a light on the research associated with curcumin, and in turn, help people discover the multitude of ways it can improve health."

By adopting Turmeric, EuroPharma supports ABCs ongoing efforts to collect and disseminate reliable, traditional and science-based information on herbs, medicinal plants and other plant-based ingredients. The information is made available on the HerbMedPro database. The Adopt-an-Herb program encourages companies and individuals to adopt" one or more specific herbs within or for inclusion in the database, with newly published research posted monthly. The result is that consumers, researchers, health practitioners, educators, media, government agencies, members of industry, journalists and others can use HerbMedPro via ABCs website to access scientific and clinical publications on the adopted herbs.

Last year, "The Meaning of Tea" joined ABC and its members through the "Adopt-An-Herb Program. It adopted the tea Camellia Sinensis.
