MILAN, ItalyIndena redesigned its online presence, aiming to implement a web 2.0 strategy to improve relations with its customers and stakeholders, and improve its communication through the myriad channels available.

Visitors to indena.com will find a redesigned page, designed as a gateway to learn about the company's dedication to the identification, development and production of active principles from plants. The site has been revamped in both form and substance to cope with the increasing wealth of online information and keep apace with technology. It now includes a faster, more responsive search engine, and single-click access to the main sectors of activity (pharmaceutical, health food, cosmetics and partnership). The new design incorporates bigger pictures, clearer fonts and universally recognized icons, and allows content sharing across social networks.

From the website, visitors can navigate directly to Indena's YouTube channel, its official Flickr account, and the Indena LinkedIn profile. The YouTube channel serves as a repository of all video materials including shooting from trade shows and congresses, interviews with the management or R&D representatives, and ad-hoc created videos to explain the science behind Indena activities. On the Flickr account, it is possible to find beautiful images of plants and flowers of the natural kingdom used for the production of Indenas ingredients. And Indena's LinkedIn presence focuses on enhancing B2B relations and providing company updates for clients, partners and scientists.

Christian Artaria, marketing director and head of Functional Food Development, commented: "New technologies represent a big opportunity for a global company like Indena to be interactive for prospect clients, researchers and journalists around the world. The way we distribute contents and work in the marketplace has lately been affected by new forms of communication we now must take into account and integrate within our communication, marketing and business strategies, without neglecting the scientific communication, that has always been the true differentiator of Indena."
