Maypro Now Offers Kosher Ingredients

PURCHASE, N.Y.Maypro Industries opened Maypro Kosher Ingredients LLC, a new subsidiary focused on kosher botanical and nutraceutical ingredients, in January 2011. The kosher ingredients are processed and shipped from a separate warehouse from the rest of Maypros offerings, in accordance with guidelines from KOF-K, a kosher certification agency in the United States.

"We receive a number of requests for kosher ingredients," said Donna Battaglia, director of sales for Maypro Industries. "Opening this subsidiary was necessary as it will comply with strict procedures for proper handling, storage and shipment of kosher ingredients."

Serving the nutritional industry for more than 30 years, Maypro Group is a privately held, global supplier of nutraceutical ingredients to the nutritional supplement, sports nutrition, pet and veterinary, cosmetic, functional food and fine chemical industries.
