ASHEVILLE, N.C. Natural Products Alliance of North Carolina (NCNPA), a group of nonprofit organizations catered to the natural products industry, formed a vertical pipeline to help companies evolve and produce botanically-based products.

North Carolina is known for its natural plant-based ingredients  such as goldenseal, black cohosh, wild cherry, slippery elm and various traditional Chinese herbs such as ginseng and astragalus. NCNPA will help supply chain stakeholders and companies develop ingredients through the development pipeline by sourcing North Carolina's raw materials and facilitate testing, formulation, pilot-scale manufacturing, workforce GMP (good manufacturing practice) training and capital access.

NCNPA consists of Bent Creek Institute, Bent Creek Germplasm Repository, BioNetwork, Blue Ridge Food Ventures, North Carolina State University, the NC Natural Products Association's Blue Ridge Naturally branding project and the U.S. Botanical Safety Laboratory.

NCNPA will be offering a walkthrough experience for attendees of its new development pipeline at Expo West. For more information on dates and registration, visit Expo West and stay updated with INSIDER's Natural Products EXPO Topic Feed.
