OmniActive Health Technologies will officially launch CurcuWIN turmeric extract (20 percent curcuminoids) at Engredea in Anaheim, CA. CurcuWIN is has increased bioavailability and is highly dispersible in water, offering applications beyond tablets and capsules.

The popularity and demand for curcumin continues to grow and has created a sustainable market for this powerful antioxidant," said Lynda Doyle, vice president global marketing, OmniActive Health Technologies. But curcumin has poor bioavailability at best and requires extremely large doses, limiting its market opportunities. After thorough research and a long-time understanding of turmeric and curcuminoids, OmniActive developed a breakthrough solution that clearly demonstrates superior bioavailability of curcuminoids to help manufacturers successfully enter this market."

OmniActive used its patented UltraSOL Dry Nutrient System Technology, a molecular dispersion process that enhances the solubility and bioavailability of lipophilic compounds to develop CurcuWIN. Results from a study released earlier this year showed that CurcuWIN increased the absorption of curcuminoids 46 times over standard curcumin and also had better bioavailability compared to other enhanced curcumin formulations.

OmniActive will be at Expo West/Engredea March 7 through 9 in booth No. 515.
