Schwabe Acquires Botanical Laboratories

KARLSRUHE, GermanySchwabe acquired the sales of Botanical Laboratories, producer of liquid supplements under the Wellesse brand, for its North American sector in Wisconsin.

Founded in 1866, Dr. Willmar Schwabe Pharmaceuticals is a global manufacturer of herbal medicines with six companies throughout Germany, and more than 20 subsidiaries and joint ventures across the world.

Schwabe North America currently owns Nature's Way®, Enzymatic Therapy® and Integrative Therapeutics, three brands serving consumers, retailers and medical professionals. Under the three brands are top-selling products including Alive!® Whole Food Energizer and Acidophilus Pearls.

Botanical Laboratories previously received financial advisory services from 6Pacfic Group, a merchant banking firm with several offices in Los Angeles, New York, Copenhagen and Costa Rica.
