“Going green” has become the new pop-culture phenomenon that is changing the way people consume. From their homes, to their cars, to what they eat, consumers are increasingly becoming aware of what they buy and how it affects the environment. Industries are taking notice and attempting to create products that cater to the “going green” trend. The food industry is thinking green, yet leaving green's definition unclearly defined.
