Aquafina Launches Zero-Calorie Beverages

PURCHASE, N.Y.Aquafina® FlavorSplash® launched a line of sparkling water beverages and liquid water enhancers to offer zero calorie hydration options to meet the demands of teens, parents and families for better-for-you beverages.

The FlavorSplash beverages were designed "for and by teens," said Rebecca Granne, senior director.

FlavorSplash liquid water enhancers contain zero calories per 1.62 fluid-ounce serving. Flavors include So Strawberry, World Peach and Berry On. FlavorSplash sparkling water beverages contains B vitamins and have zero calories per 16.9-ounce serving.  Flavors include Color Me Kiwi, Peelin' Good and Berry Loco.

Sugar-sweetened beverages have been indentified as a leading contributor in the obesity epidemic, especially in children. Sweetener innovations are leading the way for healthier beverage options, despite debates over the benefits.
