BEER SHEVA, IsraelLycoRed will introduce a line of natural beta-carotene colorants and new application concepts for vitamin and mineral premixes designed for use in healthy and functional beverages at SupplySide West in Las Vegas, Nov. 14-16.

The vitamin and mineral premix applications are newly designed for use in beverages, including progressive concepts for energy and sport drinks. The premix applications do not provide off-flavors generally associated with vitamins and are inclusive of their inherent natural colorants.

The beta-carotene colorant formulations are available in both natural and nature-identical sources, free of DCM (dichloromethane) and more color-intense compared to existing colorant formulations. They can be used in clear beverages as well as in cloudy beverages, with a wide yellow to orange spectrum.

Earlier this year, LycoRed introduced Lyc-O-Beta  Intense and BetaCote  Intense beta-carotene colorant formulations to deliver increased color intensity allowing for lower colorant usage.
