Kroger Recalls Semi Sweet Chocolate Chips

WASHINGTONBarry Callebaut USA LLC is recalling Kroger brand Semi Sweet Chocolate Chips because they may contain the undeclared allergen, milk protein, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced Jan. 12.

The recall involves 12-ounce packages of Kroger Value Semi Sweet Chocolate Chips with UPC code is 1111086603 and best by" dates of Nov. 20, 2012, Dec. 1, 2012, Dec. 3, 2012, and Dec. 4, 2012

The affected products were sold at Kroger-owned stores, including Kroger, Dillons and Gerbes stores in Kansas and Missouri; Bakers stores in Nebraska; Jay C, Hilander, Owens, Pay Less and Scotts stores in Illinois and Indiana; Fred Meyer, Frys, King Soopers, Smiths, City Market, Foods Co.; and Food 4 Less stores in California, Nevada, Nebraska, Illinois and Indiana.
