Pilgrims Pride Recalls Breaded Chicken Wings

WASHINGTONPilgrim's Pride, based in Boaz, Ala., is recalling approximately 180,000 pounds of breaded chicken wings because they contain the undeclared allergen, egg, USDAs Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced Dec. 30.

The recall involves 20-pound boxes containing four 5-pound bags of "Pierce Chicken Uncooked Hot & Spiced Breaded Chicken Wings Drummettes and Wing Portions"; and 10-pound boxes containing two 5-pound bags of "Sweet Georgia Brand Uncooked Hot & Spicy Breaded Chicken Wings 1st and 2nd Sections."

The recalled products were produced on various dates between Jan. 1, 2010, and Oct. 6, 2010, and distributed to foodservice distribution centers nationwide for further distribution to restaurants.
