BURY ST. EDMUNDSTreatt introduced three new additions to its portfolio of tea products that offer beverage producers cost-effective, natural ingredients.

The company developed the new additions in response to the growing global popularity of tea. Its additions include Green Tea TruTaste® Natural 200 which is a fold iced tea concentrate that's made using natural tea ingredients. It was produced using tea solids rather than caramel color. It delivers a premium quality beverage with a clean label and optimal flavor. Green Tea TrueTaste Natural 200 is particularly suitable for the production of single strength ready-to-drink (RTD) teas. When reconstituted to single strength, the RTD tea contains a minimum of .04% tea solids and offers the added benefit of the fresh taste of iced tea while eliminating the common challenges of handling powders, and high brewing costs.

Another new addition, TreattSweet Tea 9859, was developed to work with stevia and other sweeteners in tea beverages. The tea is a non-caloric blend of natural essences. When used in tea applications, the bitterness of some sweeteners like Rebaudioside A can accentuate the tea's natural astringency. The tea softens these undertones at dosage levels of 100 ppm and adds a sweet aroma to the beverage flavor, while also allowing for a creamy tea flavor with light fruity notes.

The company also offers its White Tea Type WONF (With Other Natural Flavors), which is a blend of natural essences from tea and other botanical sources that enables manufacturers to retain the natural aroma traditionally associated with white tea. The tea contains subtle fruity white tea notes, but has a more robust flavor when added to RTD applications. It can be used at dosage levels between 1,000 and 5,000 ppm in the finished beverage depending on the desired flavor intensity.
