Covance Receives ISO Accreditations for Laboratory

PRINCETON, N.JCovance's contaminant testing laboratory in Indiana has been recognized for meeting highest international quality standards by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).

The laboratory was awarded 17, 025 accreditation from ISO, granted by the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation. ISO accreditation confirms compliance with AOAC International guidelines for laboratories performing contaminant analyses of food and pharmaceuticals.

Covance is headquartered in Princeton, N.J., and is known as a global drug development service and food testing company. With nutritional testing services dating back more than 80 years, the company focuses on the design of testing programs required for nutrition facts labeling regulations and scientific standards.

Last December, the company's director of scientific and regulatory affairs at Covance, Darryl Sullivan, spoke about laboratories maintaining cGMPs (current good manufacturing practices).
