American River Receives Vitamin E Patent

HADLEY, Mass.American River Nutrition received a U.S. patent for compositions and methods of use of annatto tocotrienols in its DeltaGold vitamin E supplement.

The patent (No. 8,586,109) covers an appropriate spectrum of vitamin E that includes low or no alpha-tocopherol, high delta- and gamma-tocopherol, and high delta- and gamma-tocotrienol. It also includes mixtures of annatto, palm and/or rice nutrients. DeltaGold is the only tocopherol-free source of tocotrienol in the commercial market.
