SPOONER, Wis.The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) granted Botanic Innovations a new patent covering the blending of the company's cold-pressed black cumin seed oil with any other Botanic Innovations cold-pressed seed oils (range from red raspberry seed oil, cranberry seed oil, blueberry seed oil, etc.). The antioxidant level after blending is greater than the sum of the weighted average of the antioxidant activities of the individual oils.

The patent, Synergistic Super Potent Antioxidant Cold Pressed Botanic Oil Blends" (No. 7,897,194 B2)  covers the synergistic effect of antioxidant activity when used topically and/or when ingested.

Black cumin seeds (Nigella sativa) contain nigellone, a natural antihistamine and thymoquinone, which has anti-inflammatory properties.  Black cumin seed oil is also high in essential fatty acids (EFAs) and beta-sitosterol, a plant sterol known to support heart health.

Botanic Innovations uses its NatureFRESH Cold Press technology, part of its certified organic production process, to produce many of its products.  This proprietary process yields potent oils and flours that retain their natural nutritional benefit.  No heat or damaging solvents are used in production.
