Burgundy Gains Patents, Organic OK

REYSSOUZE, FranceBurgundy Botanical Extracts announced it was awarded two new European patents. The first (07/54906) covers the production of its IridoForce purified extract of devils claw (Harpagophytum procumbes); the process nets an extract with more than 20 percent harpagoside. Burgundys second patent (07/54907) covers new uses of hibiscus, including prevention of urinary tract infection; its UTIRose was formulated with specific polyphenol content from Hibiscus sabdariffa to promote urinary tract health.

In additional news, Burgundy (www.Burgundy-Extracts.com) was certified by Ecocert to manufacture organic botanical extracts and market BIO products. Initial certified ingredients include Teamax-W, Guaramaw-W, Yerbamax, UTIRose, IridoForce. The company also holds ISO 9001 and ISO 22000 certifications.
