WASHINGTON--The Council for Responsible Nutrition (CRN) named Steven M. Mister, Esq., as its new president and chief executive officer (CEO). Mister will take over in April, when Annette Dickinson, Ph.D., the current president and CEO of CRN (www.crnusa.org), retires after 31 years with the association.

Mister worked most recently as director of government affairs with the National Association of Professional Employer Organizations. Previously, he spent more than 10 years with the Consumer Healthcare Products Association (CHPA), serving as vice president and associate general counsel. He has also worked as an attorney in general litigation and federal election law, and served as media relations assistant for former U.S. Sen. Charles McC. Mathias, Jr.

"I am honored to have been selected by CRN and am looking forward to joining the association," Mister said. "My immediate priorities will be to further strengthen the association by building membership and to continue to educate legislators, regulators, health care professionals and journalists about the important place dietary supplements have in a consumer-driven culture of wellness."
