Nutraceutix Awarded Probiotic Delivery Patent in China

REDMOND, Wash. Nutraceutix Inc. announced it received notice from the Chinese Patent Office on a new patent (No. 02823678.5) covering the companys BIO-tract delivery system; this is the fourth international patent Nutraceutix holds on the technology, used to deliver sensitive ingredients such as probiotics to optimal delivery sites in the intestinal tract. The BIO-tract tablets form a protective layer when ingested, shielding the contents from the acidic conditions of the stomach and releasing the active compounds at optimal rates and locations in the intestinal tract, based on formulation.
