PISCATAWAY, N.J.On Jan. 23, afinal judgment was entered in U.S. District Court here concerning the patent infringement suitfiled by Sabinsa Corp. (www.sabinsa.com) against Nutrition Formulators Inc.(NFI). The lawsuit concerned the trademark registration and two U.S. patents forSabinsas BioPerine piperine ingredient. Under terms of the judgment, NFI isenjoined from selling or importing piperine for uses covered by Sabinsaspatents and will pay an undisclosed amount in settlement.
