Sabinsa Gains US Weight Loss Patent

EAST WINDSOR, N.J.Sabinsa Corp., a manufacturer, supplier and marketer of herbal extracts, minerals and fine chemicals, recently received a U.S. Patent for its weight management formulation.

The patent grants the synergistic use of GarCitrin®, stilbene polyphenols such as Silbinol®, the natural trans-pterostilbene and anthocyanins. The formulation consists of polyisoprenylated benzophenones, stilbenes and anthocyanins to help support  weight loss.

Earlier this month, Sabinsa received Frost & Sullivan's 2013 North American Integrated Prebiotic Delivery Technology Innovation Award. The award recognized Sabinsa's Integrated Nutritional Composites (INC) technology, which allows the company to create synbiotics, the combination of prebiotics and probiotics.
