Sabinsa Honored for GarCitrin Patent

PISCATAWAY, N.J. Sabinsa received the 2009 Thomas Alva Edison Patent Award in the nutraceuticals category from the Research and Development Council of New Jersey, honoring Sabinsas patent (No. 7,063,861), Bioavailability Composition of Natural and Synthetic HCA. Sabinsa supplies the proprietary ingredient GarCitrin®, an extract delivering hydroxycitric acid (HCA) with garcinol, a polyisoprenylated benzophenone isolated from Garcinia cambogia and Garcinia indica.
