Sharp·PS®GOLD Gains Australian Patent

MORRISTOWN, N.J.A patent for Enzymotecs Sharp·PS®GOLD was accepted in Australia regarding methods for improving cognitive and behavioral parameters by administration of phosphatidylserine (PS) containing the omega-3 fatty acids docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) and eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA). The patent "Glycerophospholipids containing omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acid" (Pat. No. 2004282006) covers Sharp·PS®GOLD, which is designed to mimic brain PS.

According to the company, recent clinical studies demonstrated Sharp·PS®GOLDs capacity to significantly increase DHA levels in the brain and subsequently improve cognitive performance due to the combined action of PS and DHA. Recently the Sharp-PS® -brand line was extended by the addition of Krill-PS into Enzymotec's product portfolio
