Super CitriMax® Patented for Fat Burning

BENICIA, Calif.—InterHealth Nutraceuticals was awarded a U.S. patent (No. 7,335,651 B2), “Compositions incorporating(-)-hydroxycitric acid and related methods for promoting fat oxidation.” The patent covers the ability of InterHealth’s ingredient Super CitriMax® to promote a healthy body weight and improve related physiological factors, such as serum serotonin and leptin levels. Recent human clinical studies found Super CitriMax, a specialty extract of Garcinia cambogia, significantly increased fat burning, demonstrated by the excretion of urinary fat metabolites such as malondialdehyde, formaldehyde, acetaldehyde and acetone.
