WAYNE, N.J.Triarco Industries received United States patent No. 7,731,992, Method of inhibition of  aromatase with specific dietary supplements." This is the 12th patent awarded to Triarco, and the companys second patent aimed at the growing demand for natural hormonal support.

Aromatase is an endogenous enzyme in both men and women that converts androgenic hormones, like testosterone, into estrogens, like estradiol. Slowing this conversion may boost testosterone levels and reduce estradiol levels in men, as well as in women who experience declining testosterone levels after menopause. Low levels of testosterone can cause low libido, fatigue, depression, cognitive problems, changes in body composition and increased chronic disease and cardiovascular risk for both men and women.

Many people know how crucial testosterone and estradiol balance is for health, well‐being and quality of life in middle‐age, but dont feel they have many options when it comes to supporting healthy hormone levels," said Triarco director of research and development Mark Anderson. Our patented ingredient gives consumers a new choice when it comes to hormone support."

The baby boomer generation includes some 76 million Americans who have reached middle age, and may be experiencing the effects of declining testosterone and increasing estradiol levels. Beginning around age 35, men may experience diminishing testosterone levels at a rate of 2 percent each year, accompanied by increasing levels of estradiol. This can create symptoms such as fatigue, loss of lean muscle mass, accumulation of abdominal fat, mood and cognitive changes and reduced libido.

Women can experience similar symptoms if their testosterone decreases with age or after menopause. While women naturally have lower levels of the hormone than men, the testosterone they do have plays an important role in metabolism, mood and libido. Low testosterone in women can increase the risk of chronic diseases such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease and osteoporosis.
