NOBLESVILLE, Ind. Verdure Sciences announced it received a notice of allowance from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office for a patent application covering the composition of its POMELLA® pomegranate extract. The natural pomegranate extract is standardized to a patent-pending fingerprint of several marker compounds, including antioxidant-rich punicalagins.

This notice of allowance is significant as it covers an important patent application protecting the composition of POMELLA, said Sonya Cropper, vice president of marketing. When POMELLA was first introduced, it set the standard for pomegranate extract quality and punicalagin content, and we are proud to see our investment in high standards validated through patent protection.
