ABBOTT PARK, Ill.--Abbott Laboratories and Martek Biosciences Corp. signed anon-exclusive licensing agreement that will enable Abbott to introduce infantformula products with Martek's long-chain polyunsaturated fatty acid technology.
Abbott will make cash payments to Martek, which will also receive a royaltywhen the products are introduced. Specifically, Abbott licensed Martek'sdocosahexaenoic acid (DHA) and arachidonic acid (AA). Visit either website, www.abbott.com,or www.martekbio.com, for moreinformation.
