ULSAN, South KoreaAK Biotech introduced its branded omega-3 ingredients to the U.S. market. The company can customize its ingredients to deliver specific ratios of docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) and eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) at high concentrations; the ingredients are available in powder, oil and triglyceride forms. The newest offering delivers not less than 70 percent EPA and not less than 80 percent DHA.

The company operates a state-of-the-art factory in Ulsan, using GMP (good manufacturing practices) and following HACCP procedures as part of its quality management practices. It has ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 certifications, and is certified halal. The companys technicians and R&D staff have developed technologies including oil powderization and low-cost, efficient deodorization. It uses ingredients from ecologically clean environments, purchased from pre-approved vendors.
