DAVIS, Calif.—Arcadia Biosciences Inc. partnered with ZoomEssence to create DriZoom GLA Safflower Powder, a functional powder with high concentrations of gamma linolenic acid (GLA), which is derived from Arcadia’s SONOVA GLA Safflower Oil.

ZoomEssence’s patent-pending DriZoom production process gives the powder unique benefits over other GLA powders on the market. It’s uses range from tablet formulas and dry-blend powders to ready-to-drink (RTD) beverage applications.

GLA is a nutritionally important omega-6 fatty acid with documented health benefits that are similar and complementary to those of omega-3 fatty acids. It helps support the body’s natural anti-inflammatory response, and it is especially useful for managing weight, improving skin health and maintaining hormonal balance for women. When used in combination with the omega-3 fatty acids eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), GLA has been shown to support heart and eye health.

SONOVA GLA Safflower Oil is grown and produced in the United States under strict Identity Preservation (IP) protocols, and it is currently available in bulk oil, softgels and powder form.
