DSM ~ LifesDHA Plus EPA

KAISERAUGST, SwitzerlandDSM announced the launch of its lifesDHA plus EPA, a vegetarian blend of two omega-3s. The product has the nutritional profile of fish oil formula and delivers numerous benefits for eye, heart and brain health. DSM's newest omega-3 product combines docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) and eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA). DSM received novel food authorization for the blend in the EU in July 2012.

The company also recently acquired  Ocean Nutrition Canada, which provides a range of marine bio-lipids. The acquisition adds fish-oil derived omega-3 fatty acids to DSM's portfolio and will help the company leverage its forms, encapsulation and emulsification technologies to expand its range of applications and products.
