SALT LAKE CITY—The Global Organization for EPA and DHA Omega-3s (GOED) announced it plans to host a free Webinar, “Strategic Initiatives Driving Consumer Demand for EPA and DHA Omega-3 Food and Supplement Products.” The 90-minute Webinar will be offered twice on a live basis—9 a.m. EST on March 6 and 1 p.m. EST on March 7—and available for download on the GOED Web site after the event.

The Webinar is designed to discuss various GOED initiatives. Dr. Bruce Watkins, Purdue University, will introduce the International Omega-3 Learning Consortium; Dr. Mike Falk, Life Sciences Research Office, is addressing the implications of an upcoming GOED-sponsored workshop about the regulatory environment for long-chain omega-3s; and Hilary Lloyd, Ocean Nutrition Canada, will talk about GOED’s role in U.S. and European claims initiatives and EU hygiene regulations.
