NEWTON, Wis.ENRECO®, Inc., completed the sale of its flaxseed milling and bulk distribution assets, retaining its Omega Fields® retail products distribution division, which markets omega-3-rich supplements for equine, canine, poultry and human nutrition. Grain Millers, Inc., assumed ownership of ENRECO intellectual and physical property, excluding Omega Fields, on June 20, 2012.

"The decision to divest the ENRECO milling operations to Grain Millers was one that I believe was the best to ensure the accomplishment of our mutual goals of growing the flax-based ingredient opportunity," said Sean Moriarty, ENRECO and Omega Fields president. Now, with all of our energies and resources focused on the Omega Fields retail supplements segment, we can better support our distributors and retailers, bolster our R&D efforts and have a much greater effect in the market."

Omega Fields supplements will now be manufactured by Grain Millers, but in the same facility as before and to the same levels of quality and food safety. The flaxseed going into their supplements will continue to be SQF 2000, Level 3-certified.
