Hydro Selling Pronova to Ferd
LYSAKER, NorwayHydro isselling the majority of its stake in its Pronova Biocare subsidiary to theNorwegian industrial company Ferd. Pronova (www.pronovabiocare.com)is a leading producer of marine omega-3 fatty acids for the pharmaceutical, foodand nutraceutical industries. It operates production facilities in Sandefjordand Alesund, Norway. According to Hydro, the divestment should result in apre-tax gain of approximately $14.9 million, allowing it to focus on coreactivities in the pharmaceutical market.
