Kalsec ~ Duralox® Oxidation Management System

KALAMAZOO, Mich. Natural extract producer Kalsec introduced its Duralox® Oxidation Management System, a method for incorporating omega-3s into products without risking high oxidation.

Kalsec said the system, when used for dairy application, reduced hydroperoxide formulationwhich causes fish oil's off-flavor and odorsby 62 percent. Marine oils are extremely susceptible  to this oxidation, which also reduces product shelf life. The system uses a unique set of antioxidants to stabilize the formulations during processing and applications.
