MIGDAL HA'EMEQ, Israel—Enzymotec Ltd.’s KREAL omega-3 products recently received a Friend of the Sea certification for its krill oil products sourced from a sustainable fishery.

With this new certification, Enzymotec's krill oil products are now eligible to bear the Friend of the Sea seal, which identifies their origin from a sustainable source and provides consumers with a guarantee of a sustainable, effective fishery management. "Friend of the Sea" is a non-profit non-governmental organization, whose mission is to conserve the marine habitat.

KREAL is one of Enzymotec line of premium omega-3 products, extracted from sustainable Antarctic krill using a unique proprietary extraction process called Multi Stage Oil Extraction, which guarantees the krill oil’s freshness and preserves the natural composition of omega-3 fatty acids throughout its shelf life. In addition, it improves the organoleptic properties of the krill oil.

Enzymotex received a Chinese New Food Raw Material for the same product in January of this year.
