WORMERVEER, Netherlands—Loders Croklaan announced its Lipid Nutrition business unit is now a private limited liability company (B.V.), allowing it to operate as a separate business entity. Loders established the Lipid Nutrition business in 1999 to focus specifically on nutritional aspects of lipids and launch the Betapol™ ingredient. Since that point, Lipid Nutrition has launched Clarinol™ CLA, Marinol™, Safflorin™ and PinnoThin™. In addition, in March 2006, Lipid Nutrition acquired PharmaNutrients’ CLA One® business.

“This new business structure brings great opportunities for Lipid Nutrition,” said Aat Visser, president. “Focusing on our expertise even more exclusively on researching and developing the nutritional aspects of lipid ingredients, we have increased freedom to grow in our unique area of specialty, and can launch our products to market in a stronger, more convincing way.”
