Ocean Nutrition Joins USP Program

BEDFORD, Nova ScotiaOceanNutrition Canada (ONC) joined the U.S. Pharmacopeias (USP) IngredientVerification Program (IVP), and announced its line of 11 standard fish oilproducts and omega-3 fish oil concentrates has been verified. The USP-IVPprocess includes evaluation for GMP (good manufacturing practices) compliance,review of quality control (QC) documents on all ingredients being reviewed andlaboratory evaluation of samples.

This was an extremely rigorous audit process and itdemonstrates our continued commitment to being a global leader in the productionof pure and safe omega-3 fish oil concentrates, said Janet Shay, vicepresident of quality and regulatory affairs for ONC (www.oceannutrition.com).
