ONC, Alicorp Join Forces

DARTMOUTH, Nova Scotia—Alicorp S.S.A of Peru and Ocean Nutrition Canada (ONC) formed a joint venture that will double output of ONC’s MEG-3® brand omega-3 fish oil. A new manufacturing facility in Peru will allow for the increased production capacity of standard 18:12 fish oil by 200 percent and an increase in high concentrate omega-3 capacity by 50 percent. “Our many food and supplement customers around the world can now enjoy the benefits of unprecedented multi-site capacity and quality manufacturing, for both our oil and microencapsulated ingredients,” said Robert Orr, president and chief executive officer (CEO), ONC (www.ocean-nutrition.com).
