Organic, Functional, Flavored Milk Markets Expand in Britain

LONDONBritish consumers are increasingly choosing organic,functional and flavored milks, according to a report released by Organic Monitor(www.organicmonitor.com). The report, titled The U.K. Market for Value- Added Milk, stated theorganic milk and functional milk segments are growing the most quickly,partially due to the release of new research supporting the benefits of organicmilk and the launch of new functional milk products such as omega-3-fortifiedmilk. In addition, consumers are increasingly purchasing flavored milk in placeof soft drinks, the report said.
