PARSIPPANY, N.J.Roche Vitamins introduced several new products atSupplySide East in May. Roche Mixed Tocopherols 95 is a naturally sourcedproduct with a minimum total tocopherol content of 95 percent. It also has highgamma-delta content, and product performance studies have shown it protectseffectively against oxidation, substantially prolonging shelf-life.

Also new from Roche is a pure, concentrated form of omega-3 long-chainpolyunsaturated fatty acids (LC-PUFA). ROPUFA 75 omega-3 oil is derivedfrom cold water fish, providing high levels of eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) anddocosahexanoic acid (DHA) per serving. The product is deodorized, delivers goodorganoleptic qualities and has excellent sensory characteristics as well asfewer unnecessary calories. ROPUFA has been deemed GRAS (generally recognized assafe) by an independent panel of experts. Among potential applications for theingredient are soups, spreads, sauces, salad dressings, frozen prepared meals,pastas, milk drinks, yogurts, cheeses, egg substitutes and nutrition bars.

Finally, Roche announced it has the capability to blend nutrients inconvenient containers that are ready-to-use in liquid product forms (LPF). Awide array of ingredients can be included in LPF nutrient blends, includingcustomized combinations of vitamins, carotenoids and PUFAs.
