Schiff, Aker Expand Krill Deal

OSLO, NorwayAker BioMarine (OSE: AKBM) and Schiff Nutrition International (NYSE:WNI) have agreed to extend their krill supply agreement through at least June 2016, granting Schiff certain exclusive sales rights, and the two companies have agreed to collaborate on future krill product innovations. For Schiff, which makes MegaRed brand krill oil products, the partnership provides a sustainable krill source to meet the companys growth goals, and Akers expertise offers to boost the development of future krill products.

Aker BioMarine, which supplies Superba krill oil and other krill based products, aims to deliver up to 300 metric tons of krill oil per year.
