CHICAGOSourceOne Global Partners announced one its strategic partners, Twin Rivers Technologies (TRT), Quincy, MA, is expanding its production facility in Cincinnati for its omega-3 ingredients to meet growing demand for triglyceride form omega-3s. SourceOne supplies TRTs OmegaChoice marine concentrated omega-3 eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) triglycerides for the dietary supplement, food and pharmaceutical markets.

Josipa Paska, vice president and general manager of TRTs Health and Wellness Group, said, The rapidly growing demand for more pure and highly concentrated omega-3 triglycerides represents a great opportunity for TRT to meet the needs of the quickly evolving trend of choosing omega-3 triglycerides over ethyl esters. Our expertise in omega-3 technology and production will enable us to deliver exceptional value in the natural products market place.

Jesse Lopez, founder and CEO of SourceOne, added, The partnership we share with TRT has allowed SourceOne to offer a reliable, superior quality omega-3 supply with concentrations up to 90 percent and EPA/DHA ratios that can be customized to meet any formulation specification. It is paramount that TRT not only has the capability to meet the need for higher concentrations of omega-3, but also shares our commitment to providing a broad base of applications, unique delivery systems, and the innovation that the market is demanding.

Lopez added SourceOnes partnership with Vesifact AG, Baar, Switzerland, has allowed the company to use the VESIsorb® technology to develop concentrated omega-3 EPA/DHA into water-soluble colloidal droplets, broadening possible applications. A recent study also found the VESIsorb OmegaChoice 90 has enhanced bioavailability.
