OVERLAND PARK, Kan.AIV Microbiology & Food Safety Consultants, Inc. (AIV), received accreditation from the International HACCP Alliance for HACCP training.

The International HACCP Alliance, housed in the Department of Animal Science at Texas A&M University, accredits training providers in Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) course curricula.

Paul A. Hall, PhD, president of AIV Microbiology & Food Safety Consultants, Inc., stated that in today's global market, it is more important than ever for food companies to be committed to ensuring the safety of their products. "With the advent of new requirements under the Food Safety Modernization Act in the U.S. and stricter global food safety standards throughout the world, it is critical to a company's success to have effective food safety management systems in place. HACCP training is an essential part of that success," he said.

AIV is now able to offer accredited introductory and advanced HACCP courses.
