Army General Visits Standard Process

PALMYRA, Wis.U.S. Army retired brigadier general Rebecca Halstead visited Standard Process manufacturing plant and certified organic farm in Palmyra, WI, on Jan. 17, 2011. Following her tour, Halstead spoke to the companys 282 employees and 39 national sales representatives and distributors about her Steadfast Leadership" principles.

In discussing her own experience with Standard Process supplements, Halstead, the first female graduate from the U.S. Military Academy to achieve the rank of general officer, said she feels the healthiest she has been in 10 years. She thanked the employees for being a part of Standard Process and reminded them look up and look forward" to their own goals and the goals of the company.

Halstead talked about her life experiences, conveying that what she learned from them helps her through difficult times. Halstead was also the first female in U.S. history to command in combat at the strategic level by commanding the highest-level organization for logistics (3rd Corps Support Command) in the combat theater of Iraq. She encouraged employees to be steadfast leaders, to trust and respect each other and remember to thank co-workers for all that they do."

DuBois has had the opportunity to work with Halstead through their mutual involvement with the Foundation for Chiropractic Progress. Halstead is a spokesperson for the Foundation, and DuBois serves as a member of its board.
