Captek Softgel Gains Key Investors

CHICAGOSkyline Global Partners LLC and Prairie Capital V acquired a controlling share of Captek Softgel Inc. The equity investment from Skyline Global Partners LLC and Prairie Capital V will allow Captek to continue to expand both operationally and geographically. Financial details were not disclosed.

Additionally, Captek hired David Wood as the companys CEO. Wood has more than 20 years of experience in the health care industry including softgel contract manufacturing at the executive level at Cardinal Health/R.P. Scherer. Im confident our alliance will be a positive addition to the Skyline and Prairie Capital portfolios as well as give Captek access to capital to accelerate our growth," Wood said. He emphasized the growth would be predicted on Captek maintaining and improving its compliance and quality levels. He said he anticipates no changes to Capteks focus on contract manufacturing.

Skyline Global Partners is a private equity firm based in Chicago that focuses on buyouts and growth equity investments in U.S.-based companies that have global growth opportunities. Prairie Capital V is a private equity firm based in Chicago that facilitates ownership transitions and provides capital for growing companies.
