Caron ~ Environmental Test Chambers

Caron's new stability chambers offer more capacity, a new user interface and absolute humidity control.

MARIETTA, OhioCaron introduced the latest generation of its environmentally controlled stability chambers at VWR International, LLC's America's Sales Conference in Orlando, FL. The new generation includes extra large capacity environmental chambers and refrigerated incubators in two- and three-door configurations.

The new stability chambers are designed in accordance with FDA ICH Q1A guidelines and have numerous applications including shelf life studies, stability and package testing and temperature elevation studies. The environmental chambers and refrigerated incubators feature a 7-inch color touch screen that can be operated with gloves on and allows the user to monitor all operating conditions at once.

The new features include:

  • Absolute humidity control, which allows for faster open-door recovery and quicker response time to set point changes

  • Magnetic, self-closing doors with locks are standard

  • Energy efficient, foamed-in-place, CFC-free foam insulation contributes to minimal heat loss

  • A configurable status center with built-in information updates, alerts and alarms to communicate a wide range of status conditions to the user

Environmental chambers have a temperature range of 5°C to 70°C and humidity range of 20 percent to 95 percent, allowing flexibility to simulate a wide range of environmental conditions. Refrigerated incubators control temperature from 5°C to 70°C. Caron also offers environmental  chambers and refrigerated incubators in a single-door configuration in 10-, 25- and 33-cubic-foot sizes.
