IRVINE, Calif.Cyvex Nutrition passed a dietary supplement GMP (good manufacturing practice) inspection by Silliker Inc., an international third-party auditing company. The inspection took place May 2012 and was based on the "Silliker Dietary Supplement Good Manufacturing Practices and Food Safety Systems Audit," which audits requirements such as identity testing for food safety and quality systems, buildings and grounds, pest control, GMP practices and food defense. Cyvex received a high GMP rating following the audit.

Supplement companies often turn to third party audit programs to ensure they are compliant with current standards, which are dominated by federal dietary supplement regulations administered and enforced by FDA.

"Cyvex Nutrition works tirelessly to implement best practices, ensure analytical procedure validation, and facilitate a comprehensive quality system, " said Vinh Do, technical service manager at Cyvex. "The Silliker audit validates our compliance with cGMP."
